Cartier built the Rotonde de Cartier in more than one form: 40 mm and 42 mm automatics, a 43.5 mm Astromystérieux, a dual time model, a skeleton. A seller who writes "Cartier Rotonde 1:1" with no reference number is selling a shape, not a watch. Ask for the reference and the movement before anything else.
What separates the grades
Case thickness, crown cabochon, dial print and hand finish carry the weight. The gen 42 mm automatic uses calibre 1904-PS MC: 27 jewels, 28,800 vph, 48 hours of reserve, sapphire caseback. A Miyota 9015 runs 24 jewels at the same beat rate with about 42 hours. Bridge geometry differs, so the movement photo decides the grade.
